I just signed up for a bible study...need help!

okay i found the official website for jw's and there was a place you could sign up for a free book study, so i did.

now i'm not sure if they will actually contact me once they see its me.

i'm doing this because when i da'd my mom wrote the letter and i didn't care/know about all their lies, i really hate that i wasted 8 years in this cult and want the elders in the congregation to explain big time!

i personally am hated quite a bit.

i've concluded it was because i rejected them personally.

i quit associating with them because i realized they were hateful individuals with serious mean streaks and other personality problems.

If your disfellowshipped then the GB has mandated that you be shunned. This is to be adhered to as if the command was uttered from the lips of almighty God. Pretty serious stuff.

If you have faded then there has never been a formal announcement, therefore, one can still associate without the fear of angering God.

i'm just freeforming here, i might change my mind by the end of my rant.

a man's home is his castle i figure, and a woman her nest.

guests can't poopy all over the place without consequences.

You're right, your home is your most personal space and should be respected. If someone is rude or disrespectful to you or you property you have every right to avoid them at all costs.

I am the type of person, and I think that my wife would testify to this, that wouldnt hesitate to throw some one out of my home or off my property (physically if necessary).

Hello Everyone, My First Time

hi, i just got registered and am looking forward to getting to know others who have escaped from the controlled environment that i was so faithful to for so long.

i hope to meet others with similar backgrounds.

i've been out about 4yrs and love the feel of it, but to be honest, as much as a definiate decision it was on my part, there was still a long time of adjustment.

Welcome to the forum and your right regarding the time of adjustment. I've been physically out of the cult for about twelve years and mentally out even longer than that but I still feel the need to come here and find others that know what I've gone through.

I look forward to reading more of your posts.

I guess the thing that really cracks me up without even trying to log on to this site and read any further are the models that the web designer used on the home pages. If I wouldnt have read any thing on the page and just looked at the pictures I would have never guessed that it was a JW site. I would have just figured that it was any other dating site.

I image googled JW's and clicked on a picture that came up of an average looking JW African American male and laughed out loud once I read the profile.
